The Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic School Athletic program provides a safe sports environment that serves as an extension of the school’s academic and religious indoctrination. All participants will learn the fundamentals of each sport and be given the opportunity to cultivate strong, healthy and disciplined minds and bodies. Student-Athletes will develop a sense of good sportsmanship, fair play, and team spirit, as well as facilitate and enhance the moral and ethical development of all those involved.

Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic School is concerned with the development of the WHOLE person – the religious, moral, social and academic dimensions, as well as physical development. The Purpose of Athletics at St. Peter the Apostle School is to recognize the need for physical fitness for the wholesome growth of the child, promote a healthy interest in sports participation, and to provide enjoyable, recreational activity which develops Christian attitudes of sportsmanship and fair play. We believe that participation in athletics is an important component to a well-rounded educational experience. Through participation in the Saint Peter athletic program, students will develop ethical and moral standards, life-long skills, and positive values. These values include leadership, healthy living habits, self-discipline, integrity, teamwork, respect for rules and regulations and the ability to participate with dignity and grace.

Saint Peter the Apostle is a member of the Savannah Parochial Athletic League (SPAL). At SPA we are committed to providing excellent athletic programs focused on character building, discipleship and helping each athlete reach his or her potential. Saint Peter the Apostle Varsity Programs focuses on developing skill, teamwork, and prepares our students for high school sports. SPA Junior Varsity program focuses on game fundamentals, skill development, and teamwork.

The St. Peter’s Rams are known throughout Savannah as excellent athletes, fair competitors, and champions both on and off the field. We offer a full-scale athletic program. We believe every student should have the chance to enjoy the experience of playing a sport and to benefit from the discipline and hard work inherent in that kind of participation.
