Lenten Observances at St. Peter the Apostle

ADORATION Every Friday during Lent we will have Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Exposition will begin each Friday at 8:00 a.m. and continue until Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings. Some of our school children will have the opportunity to spend time in adoration, but we would like as many people as possible to come. You may sign up in the narthex after all Masses this weekend. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to spend time in adoration.

LENTEN SERVICES On the Fridays of Lent, we will have Stations of the Cross at 2:15 p.m. and Stations of the Cross and Benediction at 6:30 p.m.

LENTEN REGULATIONS Catholics who are over the age of 18 and under the age of 60 are required to fast, which means that they can eat only one complete meal and two smaller ones during the day, with no food in between. Catholics who are over the age of 14 are required to refrain from eating any meat, or any food make with meat, on Ash Wednesday.

OPERATION RICE BOWL By preparing a simple meatless meal one or two times a week and contributing the money saved on meat, many people can be given meals, health care, etc. We encourage all families to participate in this worthwhile project. Please take a rice bowl packet from the narthex home with you.
