Catholic Schools Week

All Masses the weekend of January 24th and 25th – Please have your children wear their school uniform to Mass this weekend to kickoff Catholic Schools Week.  Selected students will be ushers, readers and helpers at Mass and have been contacted.  Book Fair open all week for viewing and purchasing. Open House will begin after the 11:15 Mass on Sunday, January 25th from 12:30 to 2:30pm.

Monday, January 26 Student Appreciation Day.  Morning Prayer and Song by Pre-K.  Children will dress comfy/cozy today.  We will have an afternoon activity for the whole school Bible Bowl.  8th Grade Bake Sale during lunch time, please support our 8th grade and bring your money!

Tuesday, January 27- Teacher Appreciation Day.  Morning Prayer and Song by Kindergarten.  First through 5th Grade will be attending the mass with the Bishop at the Cathedral.  Honor’s Assembly and National Junior Honor Society Induction in the Parish Center at 1:30 p.m.  8th Grade Bake Sale during lunch time, please support our 8th grade and bring your money!

Wednesday, January 28-  Parent Appreciation Day– Morning Prayer and Song by 1st Grade. The Home and School and Faculty will host a Wine Wednesday Happy Hour from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in Parish Center. The Book Fair will be open for viewing and story time will be held for your children in old gym during Happy Hour. (No children allowed in Parish Center.) “Wine Not Join Us!” please come and enjoy yourself, you deserve it!  Beer will be available too.  8th Grade Bake Sale during lunch time, please support our 8th grade and bring your money!

Thursday, January 29- Community Appreciation Day– Morning Prayer and Song by 2nd Grade.  Thank you for all your charity donations!!  The Deanery Spelling Bee will be held at 10:00 am in the Parish Center.   The school spelling bee will be held in the lower school gym at 10:00 with grades 3, 4 and 5 competing. Parents are invited to both of these events!  This is also SOCCKS Day(Serving Our Community Catholic Kids Style).   We will gather, sort and package all collections and present to each representative from the various charities from 1:50 – 2:50 p.m.  8th Grade Bake Sale during lunch time, please support our 8th grade and bring your money!

Friday, January 30 Grandparent/Special Friends Day– Morning Prayer and Song by 3rd Grade.  Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the church.  Grandparents and Special Friends will be shown to classrooms by the 8th grade hosts and hostesses.  Students will go to Mass with Grandparents/Special Friends and sit with them.   After mass, Grandparents are encourage to tour the school and classrooms.  Coffee and a light snack will be available in the Lower School Gym.  Each classroom will have a sign out sheet for Grandparents/Special Friends if the children are leaving with them.  If the children are staying, Grandparents should escort them back to their homeroom for dismissal.
