Admissions Guidelines
St. Peter the Apostle School complies with Georgia State Law for beginning age requirements for school entrance. To be eligible for admittance to kindergarten, a child must be five years old before September 1st. For admittance to first grade, a child must be six years old by September 1st. Parents wishing to enroll their children at St. Peter’s must complete and/or submit documents outlined in the Registration Packet. Registration packets are available in the school office. Students entering Second through Eighth Grades will be required to take a Math and Communicative Arts Competency Test in order to place them correctly in a class. Parents of all prospective students for grades Kindergarten through Eighth will need to submit:
- Birth certificate
- School certificate of immunization (Form #3032)*
- Eye and dental certificate (EED Form #3300)*
- Physical examination
- All academic records
- Previous year’s final report card
- Standardized test scores
*According to GA law, both forms must be on file when school starts. The last DPT and polio immunizations must have been given after a child is four years old. GA law requires that rising sixth graders present documented proof of a second MMR. Children born after 1992 must have completed Hepatitis B series.Pre-K students will need to present:
- a Georgia Preschool/Daycare Immunization Certificate,
- Birth certificate, and Physical examination form.
- Baptismal certificate
- First Penance certificate (grades third through eight)
- First Holy Communion certificate (grades third through eight)
- Parish Participation Card
In order to receive the Catholic rate of tuition, the school must have a participating parishioner card or letter from the pastor of your current Catholic parish.
