About Our School

We are nestled in the beautiful Wilmington Island community, just minutes away from historic downtown Savannah, Georgia. Our school is easily accessible from Whitemarsh Island, the Truman Parkway, mid-town Savannah and Tybee Island. We are located just off Highway 80 East (Victory Drive), not far from midtown Savannah.

Whiddon cropOur school community began in 1961 to service the mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Savannah. Our school has a record of producing some of the top graduates at St. Vincent’s Academy and Benedictine Military School.

In 2015 we celebrated our 35th year on our Wilmington Island Campus. Our beautiful ten acre campus includes a Lower School, Middle School, two gymnasiums, football field, practice field, and a state of the art playground.

We offer full day faith-based instruction for students from three years old through 8th grade. Not only do our educators teach religion classes, we have our students live their faith by service towards others. This includes community service projects, peer mentoring, and prayer partners. We believe service towards others is service towards God.

The team won second place in the Super Regionals, qualifying them to go to the state competition. Our students’ language arts scores are consistently among the best in the Diocese of Savannah. St. Peter the Apostle School also promotes development in art, music and foreign language beginning in Pre-K.

The St. Peter’s Rams are known throughout Savannah as excellent athletes, fair competitors, and champions both on and off the field. We offer athletics opportunities to all of our students to include competitive sports, intramurals and pep squad for our youngest Rams.
